Research Works INC. Makes the Final Cut for SCRS Spark Innovation at Global Site Summit Solutions
September 2024 – Research Works INC, a small, dynamic, woman-owned research site network, is thrilled to announce its selection as one of the three finalists for the prestigious SCRS Spark Innovation competition at the upcoming Global Site Summit Solutions. This recognition places Research Works among an elite group of research sites, chosen from over 500 applicants, for pioneering fresh and effective approaches to conducting clinical trials.
A Journey Rooted in Purpose
With a mission to improve women’s healthcare options and address healthcare disparities and inequities in inner-city communities Kaye Doiron founded her first site, Women Under Study in 2009 in a shotgun house in central city, New Orleans. Over the years, the company has grown into a respected network of four sites that continue to push the boundaries of clinical trial research.
Innovation Through Determination
A former jazz singer, Kaye’s journey into research was far from traditional. Her innovative ideas were initially met with resistance in an industry that often lacked room for creativity. But today, as the field evolves, Kaye’s vision is being recognized, and her unique approach is helping bring clinical research into the modern age. Her newest innovation bridges the gap between the patient and the clinical trial opportunity and effectively and efficiently offers a much needed solution to patient reach and DCT’s.
Competing with the Giants
Operating with a team of fewer than 30 employees and ZERO external funding, Research Works INC has consistently remained at the forefront of clinical trials, standing out for its inventive strategies, exemplary recruitment practices, and the development of groundbreaking technologies that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and reach. This achievement is especially notable, given that competitors include industry giants like DM Clinical Research and Ascension St. John, each with over 500 employees.
Recognition and Pride
Kaye Doiron, Founder and CEO, shared her excitement: “Being named a finalist for the SCRS Spark Innovation competition is a powerful validation of our team’s hard work and creativity. We’re honored to stand alongside some of the most influential names in the industry, proving that true innovation and impact are not defined by size but by vision and passion.”
Looking Ahead to the Global Site Summit Solutions
The Global Site Summit Solutions is one of the clinical research industry’s most significant events, gathering leaders and innovators from around the world to work together to unify the voice of the global clinical research site community for greater site sustainability. As a finalist, Research Works INC will have the opportunity to showcase its pioneering work and help shape the future of clinical research. Kaye Doiron is so grateful to SCRS for providing a platform for the site’s voice to be heard from all key players…
